The Treaty of Versailles ended the wars between Germany and the Allied Powers. It started with the Armistice that ended all fighting in the land, air, and waters. This treaty was the end of World War 1 which they vowed never to fight again. It was basically a treaty of peace. It was the most important political document of the 20th century because it stopped one of the greatest wars the world has ever seen.
It set up World War 2 because Germany was kind of left out of this treaty and treated unfairly. Then one day a man named Adolf Hitler wanted his people to be treated the same as everyone else and quickly rose to prominence. He started a political party and became chancellor and went to war with the other countries. Just because Germany was left out of the treaty another World war started.
