Today we've decided we will do a beach clean up because we could raise money to help another organization to help wild life or directly help them ourselves. We are determined to do a beach clean up because it would be the best way we can connect directly to our ʻāina (land). There is plenty of trash on beaches and things such as plastic can kill marine life such as turtles. In doing this, it also helps with the pacific garbage patch. This is a giant area filled with trash. We could help lower the growth of the garbage patch by cleaning the beach so the ocean can't take all of the trash out to sea.
