Today I picked up Keanu early in the morning and we went to Makua for a quick morning dive. The water was clean on the outside and the winds were very light, creating ideal dive conditions. We found a nice little cave and dropped on it all morning. We ended up with about 20lbs of Toau and Taape. Overall it was a pretty good turnout.

A decent sized group of us went out on the boat and dove 3 big reef heads in K-Bay. We pulled out about 40lbs all together. They were small Toaus and Taapes so there were more fish total. Eastside, specifically K-Bay, has big amounts of small fish. So, its a lot more work but we get more fish out which means less reproduction. March 22, 2017
We drove to Makua on the West Side and shot about 50lbs total of Toau and Taape. We had 5 Roi on the side but didn't see too much other Roi so we did good. The Roi are smarter than the Toaus and Taapes so they are a little bit more of a challenge. That afternoon, we invited see friends and family over and we cooked fish with them. Of course we didn't cook 50lbs of fish, we gave a lot of fish out to neighbors and family. March 20, 2017
Keanu and I drove down to the East Side and dove a couple big reef heads in K-Bay. We had a decent turnout and we pretty much cleaned up the areas we hit. |
