This week I figured out how I am going to spread the word through social media. Once the post is made with information about the pet-doption (waiting on finalization), I will advertise through my own Instagram account saying to "repost, hashtag #kspetdoption, tag one of us, and follow @kspetdoption." @kspetdoption will be our official social media account. On this page we will advertise and send out information. Also, in order to encourage people to repost, hashtag, tag, and follow, we will be giving out a Starbucks or Jamba gift card to one to three random people who had followed the previous steps. Hopefully this will get the word around!

Being that I just joined this class and group last week made it rather difficult to make an ample amount of impact on this event, but there has been some progress I've made as an individual in regards to this project. Over this past week or so I have learned about the event that my group has begun planning, their purpose, and everyone's roles. Being that everyone had roles, it was difficult to find one myself. To be quite honest, for this last week or so, I've been the all around "wing woman"; I've been helping making decisions about venues and equipment, but it felt like just "busy work" with no purpose. THANKFULLY, it has now been determined that I will be helping with publicity by making posters (with Teah) to spread the word about our event to our school and the community as well as design posts about our event to be uploaded on social media when the date draws near. I will also be communicating with our VP to help us spread the word to our student body as well, that being when the time draws nearer. I am happy that I have found my role in this such amazing event and I can't wait to start making my mark on this project! I know it's been a slow start to my impact on this project, but I am sure that I will be giving my greatest effort to help this event turn out successful!
