-->What are some examples of how Capitalism & corporate economics (Walmart/Walgreens/Target, etc) is creating challenges in your own island, community, state, nation that relates to this UN Goal / Issue?
Big corporations creates challenges in the problem of poverty because they have almost a monopoly on that category of market making it harder for small businesses. Capitalism in general could make it a little more difficult as well because of how many other competitors there may be who are trying to do the same thing. -->Why is this something to consider: Do you see a specific (friends or family you know) with a personal connection to these issues that connect with poverty or other social challenges (and please try to find at least one) - what/who is it and why? I donʻt think I personally know anyone that is completely affected by poverty and canʻt get out of it, but a lot of my family members mostly fluctuate in and out of it and different points in time. I do see the kind of things that are resulted from poverty which can even further the problem worse than it may already be. -->What, if anything, are you learning about how economic trends impact your Global issue and how has your understanding of the impacts of it perhaps influenced the way you see your group topic as a worthwhile challenge or problem to be addressed? My understanding of the impacts of economic trends have changed in the way that I see how big corporations can cause bigger problems for the economy than may be obvious.
