What is our topic & Why is it important to do action-research on?
Our group topic is homelessness in Hawaii, it is important we take action research on it so that we can have an organized and proper approach to addressing this issue. We don't want to rush in to our project blindly and just buy a bunch of things. We are first going to conduct action research to see what non-profits we can go through and how we can give back to the homeless. Who is our group & what at is are the steps we will execute for the Kahiau over the Winter break? Our group is made up of 5 members, this includes myself, Ocean, Makana, Elijiah, and Kai. Over the Winter break we will all make sure to update our weebly website and keep everyone posted. We will have to get together and come up with our plan in person. Yes we can enjoy the holiday, but we have to make sure to meet up and exchange ideas. To make it simpler, we will all exchange our personal phone numbers before break so we can have access to eachother. What have I found challenging about this project so far? One thing I have found challenging about this project is just remembering to update your website and what to put in it. So far we are only writing because Kumu Akana has reminded us to do so and what prompts to write about. In the future though, like over the break, we may not have a teacher telling us what to do all the time so we will have to step it up. What do I expect to learn / get out of this project? T Who am I tapping for assistance in my community or at home to get this done?

AuthorI am a current sophomore at Kamehameha High School. I am currently involved in the sport of paddling, but also play football and hope to play some volleyball. My interest in helping the homeless all started when I thought about wildlife and nature. My whole life, I have loved animals and always wanted to care for them. When I grow up, I plan on becoming a vet or zoologist. Archives
