Colonization could play a major role in the impact or set up of my Kahiau project. Some of the impacts of colonization were Human rights violation, poverty, and loss of land for cash crops. An example would be Africa as we could see many of these impacts affect them for centuries. Europeans also did not want to modernize or industrialize the continent leaving it in an impoverished state which means it impacts my Kahiau project of clean and affordable energy. The living conditions still are very bad to the point where most people can't even afford electricity. These impacts left from those long gone still affect and hurt the people today who are trying to help these people and get them out of the post-poor colonial states. These impacts of Colonization and Imperialism can really impact our points of view of culture and impact language and activism within our state. We can see the ways how people of the past used to be forced to take our lands back in 1893. Also we can see how Christian Missionaries were able to force their religion onto the leper by their isolation. The US military is another way we can see the impacts of imperialization as they have most of the land in the state to use for their purposes which destroy sacred land. This can both fuel us in our ways to try bring these current issues up with the state or deter us as there has been so much damage already that it seems hopeless to try and undo the wrongs.
