So on the first day we all got together, we went to do a little cleanup on a few different reefs in Kaneʻohe bay. We were out there for a good three to five hours collecting as many fish as we could. We were mainly targeting fish such as Kole, Papio, Ulua, Taape, and Moanas. At the end of the day we ended up catching around 15lbs of invasive species at those Reefs.

So during spring break my group and I have been getting together and going to various places around the island. On April 1st we met at a friend's house and we went to lay net to see what kind of fish we could catch in that area. After a few drops we found that there were many of invasive fish that had the diet of our native fish. So we cleaned them and ate them.
This weekend, on Martin Luther King day of 2017 my group set out to take action starting off our project. We all met at a group members house to plan and set up future events for our project. Then later on, we went out on his boat in Kāneʻohe bay to scope out some reef where possible cleanup sessions could take place. We found a few places in the bay where we could definitely revisit and help take out the invasive species.
