What makes this project help us become global citizens is the fact that we're not only helping our own community but trying to raise awareness for the entire world to see. I wanted to have a project that had to do with animals because, hey what would we be without them? They say a dog is a mans best friend. But if there are some dogs roaming the streets without homes, how can they be our best friends? Being put onto the streets threatens not only us but their safety as well. Not being cared for creates a sense of distrust in animals so they can't be handled and hurt once again. They have feelings just like humans but we don't take into account that they would feel hurt too if we just abandoned them. I want to find them a good and loving home, and so does the rest of my group. Even if we can't each take a dog home to raise, I want to support them and help them find good and caring owners. I hope that the news of our adoption brings attention to the needs of dogs all around the world.
