Art is an inspiring form of communication that can be used to showcase and highlight social concerns in history and modern society. There are many features in art that all fuse together to tell a story or convey a message to viewers. In the picture to the left, I used the spine titles of books to create an interesting poem. This is just one of the unique ways you can use art to spread a message, whether your message relates to historical or modern concerns. For example, you can make a film or digital art and share it across social media to spread awareness of your issue. Thus, art is such a creative form of communication that allows you to be creative in sharing your point across especially when it comes to social concerns. In the picture to the left, I created a poem in regards to my Kahiau project of ocean pollution. In the poem, I express this issue and include the negative effects we humans have imposed on marine life. In addition, I state the importance of marine ecosystems to the world and convey how we humans depend on them for our survival. However, we are harming the health of marine life everyday through pollution, in which I asserted in my poem. Overall, this art I created is meant to spread awareness towards ocean pollution and how we must address this issue in order to restore the life we so depend on. References Caulfield, C.
