The Treaty of Versailles was a critical part in the 20th century for various reasons. Specifically, the creation of the document itself was done in my perspective wrongly. It has been known throughout history that only the winners get to tell the story that sticks. The creation of this treaty struck major power imbalance causing countries like Germany to retaliate in inhumane ways. This treaty was important for peace at the time, nonetheless, it was also a crucial part of brewing WWII.
Similar to what was mentioned previously, the Treaty of Versailles was a key part in setting up WWII. The Document was negotiated mainly by the Britains, France, and America. Within this negotiation, it was decided that most of the blame belonged to Japan and Germany. Therefore, those two countries stepped back and built their empires from then on. Today in Hawaiʻi the treaty impacted our perspective geographically adding value to us as a crucial place to use as a camp, or just a place to house and distribute because weʻre in the middle of the pacific. We are the gem that could now give whichever country access to the countries surrounding and thatʻs just about half of the world.
