The two scenarios of the Malthusian Flux theory and the ʻFirst Big Fightʻ example are seemingly the same, with minor differences. For example, the children in the ʻFightʻ scene represent the countries in the given theory. Some kids/countries have a real beef with others, and some are just allies looking to help out friends. Meanwhile, there are the bystanders staying away from all the action and keeping to themselves, staying away from the danger. Similar to the Malthusian Flux, the fight starts small and advances the heavier the stakes become. Although it may not be seen in big bold letters, it is apparent that the Malthusian Flux theory plays a very large role in feeding our problem of climate change. The more our population grows, so do the numbers of waste, fossil fuels, and overall pollution. For a while, our earth could take in our toxins and reuse them as food for her soil, however, we humans are in over our heads. From the presentation given, the Malthusian Flux Theory is about how the population increases at a faster rate than itʻs resources. By wasting and trashing our planet today with fossil fuels, oil spillage, and garbage patches we are slowing down out resources and speeding up the population.
