In the french revolution there were classes of people that determined what they get and how much say they have. This system was supposedly abolished but you can still see some of the similarities today. For example the clergy which to put it simply are the rich people. In history this class had political power and had to pay very little tax to no tax at all. Today that is simillar to rich people and although they have to pay taxes some have off shore accounts and have ways to pay no tax at all. While lower class people have to pay lots of taxes. Peasants were also another class today that would connect to the homeless, people in poverty, and low income households. This class pays taxes and in history made little to nothing at all and had basically no say. Today it has gotten better but it is still a bad situation. People make minimum wage and struggle to make ends meet or end up on the streets. |
