Gandhi reminded me of the Black Lives Matter movement because it shows how some people could be against another race or a different kind of culture. In this case, it would be India and people who are a part of the Black Lives Matter movement. This also reminds me of the Mauna movement as well because people are fighting or protesting until the government or leaders will agree with them of what they want, in that case, it would be sacred land.
Some examples of these connections I mentioned would be the Black Lives Matter movement. It would be people fighting, complaining, protesting, and even causing unnecessary things that don’t need to happen. For example, burning American flags, breaking into stores, and even killing people. In the movie Gandhi, the people treating him like that was not right. I say, treat people the way you want to be treated. Nanda, B. (2020, January 26). Mahatma Gandhi.
