Colonization sets up a perfect example as I see it globally in history today and also with my Kahiau Project. Colonization is like having a link with their land over a specific area, aka domination. In my Kahiau Project, we want to launch a system where we can establish reasonable and feasible energy, globally. We want to help people who canʻt afford electric, so in order for that to happen we need to mark our domain on ones land, so we can help them. It wouldnʻt hurt ones single soul to establish this project and also wouldnʻt affect other modern day challenges because we are finding eco-friendly ways to produce energy, for example we can use algae and convert it into biofuel. Imperialism changes our understanding of these things in History through the lens of our cultural history of language, culture, and activism in the community by dominance. Imperialism is the act of expanding ones power by force. We can see this happening all over the world today. In Hawaiʻi, we gained a bunch of new things that includes a new lifestyle and also became a part of democracy. We were given the opportunity to find new ways to help our islands improve, but on the other hand, us Hawaiians still have some negative thoughts on imperialism. Back in ancient Hawaii, we were forced to speak a language that wasnʻt even ours, lost our connection with our culture, and many more. We were forced to adapt to the new environment, westernization, and change our due to the annexation Sources: Google Docs - create and edit documents online, for free. (n.d.-b). Accounts.google.com.
