On December 1st. 1018 my dorm (Kaleiopapa) and my group mates went to the west side of Oʻahu to Zablans beach. There we took out invasive species out of the ground so that the water flow would be stronger and reach the native plants that we were going to plant. it was a long process and after abut forty-five minutes we pulled a lot of the invasive plants out of the ground. We needed to take out all the the weeds, because then it would be a waste of time to pull them out, just to grow again. After we pulled them out we took a break. Aunty Chelsey taught us a lot about the native plants that we were going to be planting, one of them is called Milo. She gave us specific instructions on how to plant every type of plant. After we finished planting, we started to hear towards the beach to start the beach clean-up. We picked up as much trash as possible. We did this so that we could help get rid of the trash that is harming wildlife and making the beach look prettier.
