This semester my leadership growth was mostly impacted by volleyball. I became one of the bigger roles on both my club and school team. This came with bigger responsibilities and at first it is very nerve wracking but as I started doing it more I got more used to it. I helped my teammates by pushing and encouraging them in everything we do whether itʻs on the court, on the track or in the weight room. But this has impacted my actions outside of sports because I am able to put myself in others' shoes and be more understanding with other peoples situations or problems.
The thing that mostly impacted my intrinsic motivation this semester was my mindset. My mindset is more of a growth mindset. Freshman year I was not motivated, I didnʻt do my work with 100% effort and you could see it in my grades. However, this year I know in my head I can do good and so I push myself to be great. You can also see that in my grades this year. I went from Bʻs and Cʻs to mostly Aʻs and maybe one B.
