The events of the Silk road, Exploration, Expansion and Enlightenment impact the UN goal that I chose to study which is good health and well-being. Good health and well-being plays a major part of empires back then and the present world right now. Empires have evolved over the centuries and I think that one of the biggest evolutions that happened was Agriculture. The first people started out by hunting and foraging. Then they got the idea to make their own food by planting vegetables and plants so they can live. Without food many of the empires started to fall so the people had find a new way to live. To make their own foods, and grow their own resources. And around the 1500’s they made this thing called cash crops. Cash crops are farming but instead, they sell their food. For example, in ancient Hawaii, we started to make sugarcane fields and that was a really big business. How do you think the events of the Silk Road, Exploration, Expansion & Enlightenment impact the UN Goal & Kahiau Topic that you chose to study. Exploration is still a pretty big thing nowadays too. Back then it was to find more land but now with the right technology people are exploring planets. We evolved big time, with innovations and technologies. It is important to me as a lahui to be able to see, analyze, and understand things in 2020 because we are the next generation. And to do it for our ancestors that never had the chance. Citations
