This project helped me to understand the concept of being an action researcher because we had to research how to get our t-shirt design approved, how to get the fundraiser cards for Jamba Juice, how to volunteer with Poi Dogs & Popoki, and we had to figure out how to sell the cards. We had to research a lot before we took action. I think that this project connected to what we learned about global citizenship because we had to do our part to make positive change in the world. We talk a lot about the bad things happening in the world during our socratic sessions, etc. but this project was a way for us to have a positive influence.
In the beginning, I thought that we were just going to be able to buy the punch cards from Jamba Juice and sell them easily. However, we ended up having to get in contact with Poi Dogs & Popoki and get their permission to fundraise using their name. We also had to ask a lot of people if they wanted to buy tickets, and many people either didnʻt want to, or they didnʻt have any money. The process took more research and effort that I thought that it would, but it ended up working out in the end.

This week I was able to sell three more jamba juice punch cards. I sold a total of 7 tickets so far. I am still trying to sell them, but a lot of people forget to bring money to buy the tickets. I will continue selling the tickets to my friends and maybe start selling some to my family. We also re-took our group picture this week.
