The silk road was an network of trade routes and sea routes via the mediterranean along with the Pacific, where goods were transferred from Asia, Japan to other large communities like Rome. Also an over-land route that connected central Asia to China. With this basic information about the silk roads it lead to a pass of information and diseases such like today. Trade routes and exploration are much the same today as they were back then. Trade routes are seen in different ways such as money, mail, and other goods. Exploration still takes place today as many countries fight for the same goods which are land and oil. Exploration also takes place as underground projects such as digging and drilling, where we find new sources of goods and even new species in the ocean and land. Tribes and Castes of India. There are many similarities from the routes and they are today. Such as transportation, boats, planes, and road trains (semi-trucks) are the way that trading are able to take place. These new technologies make it quick, easy, and convenient to get goods. An example of a custom would be security, long ago security didn't take place on trade routes now days things such as borders, check points, and guards/security are implemented in countries all around the world to prevent theft or any fun business regarding trading or imports.
