As a group, we planned to make care packages for kids and adults that are in need for Christmas. We intended to fill them with hygienic items and helpful necessities. Unfortunately, Moani ended up getting sick and we couldn’t complete the project. Additionally, we all were busy as well. In conclusion, our project idea itself was well and properly thought out. If we could have completed it, I feel like it wouldʻve been very successful. What could’ve been better was if we actually were able to do it. If everything aligned right and things worked out then our project would’ve had a great turn out. I feel like my understanding of poverty and other UN issues of humanity are improving. With each class, my knowledge is growing and Iʻm learning new things that are worldwide as well as how to be a good leader and improve some poor decisions. I always tend to reflect back on what we learned and remind myself not to make the same mistakes but to learn from them. In our Kahiau project, we planned to apply that to what we were going to do by helping out those in need instead of leaving them to fend for themselves, sometimes its good to have a helping hand and we planned to be just that.
